Position Overview
The position requires the applicant to apply analytical and semi-empirical aerodynamic prediction tools to the design and analysis of flight vehicles.
The employee will also support aerodynamic design trade studies, performance assessments, testing, and development of high-fidelity aerodynamic characterizations of flight vehicles.
Basic Qualifications (required)- BS degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.25 and 2‑4 years of industry experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated capabilities in programming languages Python or Matlab.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate constructively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Willingness to learn and refine skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance.
- Resident of the North Alabama area, or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL campus.
- MS degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.25 and 0‑3 years of related experience.
- Experience with industry‑standard aerodynamic prediction tools and wind tunnel testing.
- Prior experience with computational fluid dynamics.
$69,550.00 – $ (general guideline only, not a guarantee of compensation).
