We are seeking a seasoned Missile & Space Capture VP in technical services (not OEM) to join our Huntsville, AL headquarters in Research Park. This position is not a remote or hybrid position and requires 5 days/week on site.

This position offers a 10K placement bonus.

Position Overview

The individual selected for this role brings 18 years experience in successful business development for DoW missile and space technical services. With that experience, the VP identifies opportunities for business expansion and develops and manages relationships in strategic markets that further business development activity. The VP targets and initiates contact with major prospective government customers, in new or existing markets, assesses and qualifies potential opportunities and competitive risks;

analyzes draft RFP/SOW, develops and implements the capture plan, and orchestrates all capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal. The VP develops the pursuit and B&P budgets for each opportunity, assesses capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses and develops capture strategies and marketing philosophies. The VP is seasoned in coordinating waterfall and pipeline strategies with multiple business entities (subsidiaries).

Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree required. Master's in Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • Active DOW Secret security clearance is required;
    Top Secret/SCI eligibility is strongly preferred.
  • 18+ years of experience leading business capture efforts for DOW technical services and agile engineering applications leading to awarded contracts in the $30M - $100M+ range.
  • Demonstrated understanding of offensive and defensive fires at the tactical, operational, strategic and national levels, including familiarity with integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) architectures, missile defense systems and space based defense programs.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful captures with verifiable contract wins as lead Capture Manager within the last 5 years in the missile defense, space or fires mission areas.
  • Must have functioned as an integral member of a corporate level business development team for at least 5 years.
  • Demonstrated expertise in competitive intelligence, win strategy development, price-to-win analysis, and teaming/partnership negotiation within missile defense and space market segments.
  • Strong understanding of FARS/DFARS, government contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF) and common DoW contract vehicles (EXPRESS, OASIS+, RS3, ITES, D3I, agency specific IDIQs) used by PAE Fires, MDA, SMDC and USSPACECOM.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal training in the Shipley Capture and Proposal process.
