This position will manage the coordination flow between Programs and Operations to ensure on-time delivery and profitability of the global Launchers business area within production and testing phases. In addition, establish a demand forcast and capacity planning process as steering tool for company profit forecasts.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinates projects on-time delivery during global operations for Launchers
  • Responsible interface between M&S / Programs (sales and project managers) and Operations (master schedulers) in the areas of demand forecasting and capacity planning to ensure a realistic and achievable plan
  • Works with and influences the plant management team to facilitate the decision to acquire internal/external capacity to balance demand & supply
  • Facilitates cross functional activities to resolve demand and capacity imbalances before the operations are impacted
  • Conducts ‘what if’ scenarios to analyse the impact of taking on additional demand before customer commitments are made
  • Align the annual profit planning forecast process with a rolling 18-months plan (12

  • Establishes and deploys the demand forecast and capacity planning process on a global scale
  • Support the implementation and deployment of IT solutions to enhance the demand forecast and capacity planning process efficiency
  • Ensure that the demand and capacity plan is converted into sales volumes and drives the financial forecast (1-5 years)
  • Ensure output meets Quality standards
  • Enforce Health and Safety precautions
  • Secures that the relevant competence is available and continuously developed within the project team
  • Periodically report to the Director Operations Programs
  • Perform all duties according to the Company’s Values and Code of Conduct
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Economy (will consider experience in lieu of degree)
  • MS or MBA a plus
  • 7-10 years proven experience as project and / or planning manager
  • Experience in schedule and cost planning and control
  • Understanding of Demand Forecast and Capacity Planning process
  • Understanding of Quality standards and Health & Safety regulations
  • Experience in reporting to management on KPI
  • Experience in MS Office and SAP system
  • Willing to work in an international environment and to travel
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Solution driven, commercial mindset
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork ability
  • High stress resistance and perseverance, able to keep structured and prioritize in a complex environment
