Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real‑time, 3D command and control center.
As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
Anduril’s Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) is a division with two missions:
1) build highly capable autonomous drones, and
2) build solid rocket motors transform products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius from early concepts into fully operational capabilities by partnering closely with specialist engineering, operations, and production teams. Through our Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team, we design and manufacture solid rocket motors using advanced materials, proprietary formulations, and high-volume production methods—delivering safe, reliable propulsion systems that support a wide range of mission requirements.
TRS hires software engineers & hardware engineers, who are excited to build across a diverse and powerful portfolio—from autonomous aerial systems to high-performance solid rocket motors. Our teams contribute to highly capable autonomous robotics systems and propulsion products that operate reliably in the most demanding mission environment.
As an Electrical Engineering Manager, you will lead the design and development of safety‑critical circuitry for Ignition Safety Devices (ISD) and Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESAD). You will be responsible for specifying and testing ISDs and ESADs, including environmental testing. In addition to your technical tasks, you will provide leadership to ISD and ESAD programs throughout their lifecycle, from concept to production.
The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with the development of ISDs, ESADs, and related devices, deep technical understanding of their design and production, and excellent management skills. If you are a hands‑on leader, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and enjoy being the point person for getting a project across the finish line, then this role is for you.
- Design & Integration: Lead the design and development of embedded control electronics from concept to production—including hardware selection, schematic & PCB design, board bring‑up, and system integration.
- Hands‑On Engineering: Actively participate in the design and troubleshooting of high voltage circuitry (up to 2kV) and power management systems.
- Program Support & Planning:
Drive ISD and ESAD programs from concept to production by contributing to program planning and execution. - Customer Interaction: Conduct design reviews with customers and incorporate their feedback into the development process.
- Team Leadership: Manage day‑to‑day interdisciplinary technical teams while handling multiple projects concurrently.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Diagnose and resolve issues crossing electrical and software disciplines using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs) and software debugging tools.
- Fast‑Paced Environment:
Thrive in a dynamic setting supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer‑operated hardware. - Systems Engineering:
Execute systems engineering functions for ISDs and ESADs, collaborating with peers and cross‑discipline teams. - Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement efforts in design and production processes.
- Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
- 8+ years of experience developing ruggedized electrical hardware.
- Experience leading a team of engineers.
- Technical expertise in high voltage circuitry design (up to 2kV), power management and supply design, and proficient with Altium Designer (or equivalent).
