Position Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for electrical design and project management related to automation systems for the automotive industry. This role involves a wide range of tasks, from coordinating customer requirements to design, vendor collaboration, and system testing.
Responsibilities- Design and specify electrical components for automated machinery
- Coordinate electrical aspects of automation projects
- Meet with customers to gather and summarize technical requirements
- Request and evaluate vendor quotations (RFQs)
- Manage vendor relationships for component manufacturing and programming
- Review and verify PLC and HMI programs with vendors
- Create electrical drawings and select appropriate devices
- Perform PLC programming and make necessary edits
- Conduct system testing in-house and at customer sites
- Support sales team with technical input and cost estimates
- Ensure project timelines and deliverables are met
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with PLCs
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
- Hands‑on experience in automation within the automotive sector
- Japanese communication skills
