- Manages teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs, ensuring compliance with contractual/technical requirements and company policies.
- Directs and manages all costs, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor.
- Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs, execution, and risk management.
- Acts as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
- Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout.
- Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor.
- Establishes milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
- Leads a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
- 5+ years experience in DoD contracting (i.e. Procurement, Program management, Technical Management, Supplier Management)
- Strong Program Management skills, including cost and schedule management alongside technical requirements
- Experience with the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle
- Ability to travel; up to approximately 50% of time domestically
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, and successfully pass a drug and background check to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Desired Skills- Experience building effective relationships with major subcontractors and cross functional stakeholders.
- Experience with Earned Value Management and EVM reporting requirements in compliance with DoD standards.
- Strong engineering/technical knowledge of mechanical hardware.
