Position Title
Mechanical Engineer – Launch Systems Hardware

Pay Rate$45/hr on W2 (Base pay range: $42.00/hr – $45.00/hr)
Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components, mechanisms, and structural hardware for launch support systems.
- Oversee and participate in testing, verification, and validation of mechanical assemblies.
- Support planning, execution, and documentation of design modifications, design reviews, and engineering updates.
- Utilize CREO and Model-Based Definition (DSR6) methodologies for high‑precision engineering design.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions on schedule.
- Apply engineering best practices to ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and manufacturability.
- Support occasional travel (less than 10%) based on program requirements.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and innovative work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Hands‑on experience with CREO for mechanical design.
- Strong proficiency with DSR6 (Model‑Based Definition) tools and workflows.
- Experience designing mechanisms and precision mechanical components.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, tolerances, and material properties.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Familiarity with tooling, MGSE (Mechanical Ground Support Equipment), and steel weldment design.
- Knowledge of AWS D17.1, aerospace materials, and industry specifications.
- Experience working in aerospace, launch systems, or high‑reliability mechanical environments.
- Ability to support whiteboarding sessions, design reviews, and technical presentations.
