Sain Associates seeks a licensed Professional Engineer to serve as the technical lead on transportation engineering projects and manage day‑to‑day project details. Current projects include an interchange design for a large industrial client, roadway realignments for a local county, and a new intersection for the Alabama DOT.
Responsibilities• Lead design projects from proposal through completion, coordinating a multidisciplinary civil engineering team.
• Draft proposals, organize project kickoffs, and maintain communication with clients.
• Serve as the technical expert for the Huntsville roadway team, ensuring high‑quality project execution.
• Design engineering projects primarily from the office, with occasional client meetings and project reviews outside the office.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing.
- Minimum 6 years of civil engineering experience, including 6+ years in transportation projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience leading design projects from start to finish.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as Micro Station or Open Roads.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral, with English proficiency.
- Project management experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
