Test Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer with extensive experience in testing equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, typically found in industrial, manufacturing, process, or power plants. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with system and design engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and procedures. They will lead or conduct tests to verify and validate design requirements.
Experience in a nuclear environment, adhering to NQA-1 standards, is highly desirable. Strong technical writing skills and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
- Collaborate with system and design engineers to develop test plans and procedures.
- Lead or conduct tests to verify and validate design requirements.
- Ensure compliance with NQA-1 standards when applicable.
- Produce detailed technical documentation and reports.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- 5-10 years of experience in testing equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical, and I&C).
- Proficiency in developing test plans and procedures.
- Experience in leading or conducting validation tests.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CAD is a plus.
This position is located onsite at a vibrant campus in Huntsville, which features amenities such as an onsite cafeteria, gym, and hair salon. The work environment offers flexible core hours between 9-3, with some team members opting for schedules like 6-3 or 7-4, providing a balance of stability and flexibility. JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52.00 - $58.00/hr.
