Senior Payloads Analyst
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Payloads Analyst to join our team!
Job DescriptionIn this role you will get to support the Targets and Countermeasures program office by providing integrated technical and programmatic advice to Targets Program Manager(s) and Chief Engineer(s). Additionally, you will provide technical support in monitoring and assessing the performance of MDA prime contractors and target providers to ensure their activities and products meet program requirements and facilitate planning, organizing, coordinating and executing target technical program activities.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Serve as expert on behalf of the MDA/DT Targets program office in support of the design and analysis of payloads and countermeasures.
- Provide oversight of payload and countermeasure requirements development.
- Provide independent assessment of prime contractor payload and countermeasure designs.
- Provide technical reviews and recommendations on all design and development plans to include prime contractor reports, analyses, procedures, etc.
- Provide technical evaluation of target instrumentation to include requirements, instrumentation layout, types of instrumentation, testing of instrumentation, etc.
- Provide technical evaluation to the Targets program office in support of all program reviews:
System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, Failure Review Board, Manufacturing Review Board, Product Acceptance Review, System Pedigree Review, Total Program Review, Design/Requirements/Signatures/Test TIMs, etc. - Support requests from MDA organizations outside of the Targets program office by providing technical responses to information requests and coordinating Technical Interchange Meetings.
- Support DTTE Technical Team requests for design information such as CAD drawings, materials, hardware for signature testing in support of characterization and optical/RF model development.
- Support the cost analysis team with technical evaluation for accurate costs estimate for PM.
- Support program scheduler to meet program delivery deadlines and keep PM advised.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree and 12+ years working on payloads or countermeasures for DoD programs, or a Bachelor's degree and 20+ years working on payloads or countermeasures for DoD programs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Ability to communicate technical information to the non-technical members of the program office to support programmatic mission.
- Can work independently and/or lead teams to analyze and resolve problems.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and have the individual flexibility to work multiple actions simultaneously and resolve time-sensitive issues.
- Strong communication skills to include oral, written, and briefing.
- Demonstrated capabilities and experience in missile systems, technical program planning, test and execution.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Understanding of IR/RCS signatures of payloads and countermeasures.
- Experience with material properties and material property measurements.
- Knowledge of ADP threat systems and how those impact target designs.
- Have an understanding of MDA MDS flight test requirements and apply that to the payload hardware development.
- Technical proposal development and evaluation.
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
