Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks.
The WorkThe selected Systems Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the A&D Requirements team. This role is responsible for developing Systems Engineering products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast‑paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.
Due to the nature of the role, this is not being offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.

BasicQualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years related engineering experience
- Experience using DOORS
- Recent Requirements Authoring Experience
- Active Final Secret Clearance
- Test/Verification exposure/understanding
- Must be capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
- Individual must possess good communication skills.
- Candidate must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- GMD System Experience
- CAMEO Experience
- Test Experience
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
