Overview
As a Development Test Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and executing system-level developmental testing for complex aerospace systems. You will work closely with integrated product teams to plan, coordinate, and lead testing efforts that ensure system performance, reliability, and readiness. This role combines technical leadership, hands-on test planning, and cross-team collaboration, with opportunities to influence program outcomes from early development through execution.
KeyDuties / Responsibilities
- Develop and execute system-level developmental test plans and procedures
- Support component and subsystem testing led by program teams
- Contribute to the development of test concepts of operations (CONOPs)
- Lead or support Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), and design reviews
- Coordinate testing activities across IPTs and partner organizations
- Oversee and guide other engineers, providing technical direction and daily task prioritization
- Analyze test data and document results through clear, comprehensive test reports
- Identify, track, and document discrepancies; support regression testing to verify fixes
- Ensure test solutions align with technical requirements, schedules, and cost constraints
- Collaborative, team-based engineering environment
- Regular interaction with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Combination of planning, analysis, and hands-on test activities
- Role may include participation in reviews, briefings, and test events
