Job Summary
We are seeking a highly curious and analytical engineer or scientist to support advanced threat system analysis and defeat operations. This role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities in complex, non-traditional weapon and cyber systems through in-depth technical analysis and reverse engineering. The position offers broad exposure across engineering and computing disciplines, with strong opportunities for deep technical investigation and hands‑on vulnerability research.
The successful candidate will analyze how systems operate, why they are designed the way they are, and how they may fail. Responsibilities include performing static and dynamic analysis, reverse engineering software and hardware, developing custom analysis tools, examining communication protocols, and documenting vulnerabilities and their operational impact in detail.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct static and dynamic analysis to support reverse engineering and vulnerability assessment of complex systems
- Analyze software for known and novel vulnerabilities and assess their operational impact
- Reverse engineer software, firmware, hardware, and communication protocols to understand system behavior and failure modes
- Develop custom static and dynamic analysis tools to support automated vulnerability discovery
- Create tools to analyze, manipulate, and inject datalink messages and other communication protocols
- Document identified vulnerabilities, exploitation paths, and system‑level impacts in a clear and detailed manner
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with 10–15 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a related technical field with 8–12 years of relevant experience
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Experience with analysis, reverse engineering, and vulnerability assessment of software, hardware, and communication systems
- Reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis
- Cyber attack and defense techniques
- Embedded systems analysis
- x86, ARM, and microcontroller assembly language
- Programming in C, C++, and/or Python
- FPGA development
- Reverse engineering and security tools (e.g., Ghidra, IDA Pro, Kali, Olly Dbg, Wireshark)
- Developing custom software or hardware tools for reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis
- Weapon systems or radar system design and analysis, including digital signal processing and tracking algorithms
- Experience supporting U.S. Intelligence Community or Department of Defense programs
- Active TS/SCI clearance
