MDR is looking for an amazing Intermediate Target Requirements Engineer to join our team! You will be part of obscure. The candidate will be a member of a team supporting development of parametric target specifications and trajectory, radar cross–section (RCS), and infrared (IR) signatures encompassing intelligence assessments for Missile Defense System design, test, and performance assessments.
What You'll Be DoingThe intermediate engineer will perform research and technical=Math/engineering necessary to create products that support the development of flight test target requirements, utilizing a parametric threat space (PTS) methodology. Analysis involves development of bounds for PTS such as: kinematics, radar cross section (RCS), and infrared signatures using various software tools and analytical techniques. TheIR analyst will participate in writing and reviewing products for accuracy, quality, and clarity, and will work closely with government Target Engineers to insure products confor best practices.
RequiredSkills
- BS degree in engineering, math, statistics, or other related STEM field and at least 7 years of experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD projects.
- Active Secret security clearance is required
- Ability to research and evaluate intelligence‑based threat system performance data and identify relevant threat parameters for target to emulate threat characteristics and performance to support test objectives.
- Ability to utilize software tools to manipulate RCS and IR signature data to mask bounds.
- Experience in technical engineering, identification of risks, and preparing technical briefings.
- TS clearance is desired
- MDA experience
- Basic understandingolf radar and optical systems
- Experience with tools such as MATLAB or Optical Signatures Code
- Experience in Anaconda or Python programming languages
- MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
