About the Role
Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Configuration Management Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Primary Responsibilities- The Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system.
- Ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations for data that is created from internal projects or supplied by the customer.
- Working independently on complex projects/assignments.
- Providing project support in creating/reviewing contents of CDRL’s, SDRL’s, item records, change records and other items in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Writing and maintaining documents such as Configuration Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, program Access Control lists, desktop instructions, CM work instructions and audit forms.
- Performing and overseeing CM team members in producing documentation such as CSA reports and data pull outputs as required.
- Supporting tasks in a dynamic environment, working closely with the CM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, other teams and the customer to support products throughout their lifecycle.
- Expected to work on site for a minimum of 4+ days a week.
- 4‑year degree in a relevant applicable field and 4‑8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville‑North Alabama, AL area.
- Detailed knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, etc.).
- Detailed knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams and specifications.
- Detailed knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques of the technical domain and a broad understanding of other related specialty areas.
- Experience in configuration change management principles and record types.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Visio experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent.
- Ability to perform in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and customer representatives.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current or previous engineering/design experience, manufacturing engineering experience, or supply chain management experience.
- Space flight equipment and processes.
- Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as CREO, Solidworks, etc.
- Working knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill, Solidworks PDM Pro, etc.
- Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software.
