Space-Based Interceptor Systems Integrator
The Aerospace Corporation is a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) that delivers innovative solutions for space programs. Join us as a Space-Based Interceptor Systems Integrator (Project Leader – Systems Engineering) to support the Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) Program Office with system and mission integration.
What You’ll Be Doing- Integrate fire control, space segment, and common ground technical lines of effort for the SBI program.
- Coordinate with the Aerospace Golden Dome Solutions Office for architecture and performance analyses.
- Integrate test schedules, data needs, and system interfaces with MDA and the Integrated Battle Manager.
- Collaborate with government and aerospace teams to embed SBI architecture within the multi‑layered missile defense program.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or closely related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional or educational experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills in government and mixed‑team environments.
- Knowledge of space architectures, interceptor concepts of operations, and fire‑control concepts of operations.
- Experience with digital engineering tools such as Cameo.
- Ability to lead and coordinate technical teams on complex aerospace issues.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.
- Current TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Master’s degree in a STEM field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in government system integration in rapid acquisition or competition environments.
- Experience integrating SSC ground and space segments or MDA weapon systems.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams for large‑scale acquisition projects.
- Experience with rapid acquisition and directing mixed FFRDC/UARC teams.
