Mechanical Engineer; BT

The Mechanical Engineer will support the space program located in Huntsville, AL.

• Designs and oversees testing of mechanical components and mechanisms for launch systems.
• Assists with planning and executing design modifications and reviews.
• Design launch support hardware.
• Other duties as assigned.

• This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
• Must have an active secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of mechanical engineering.
• Must have 3+ years of recent and related work experience.
• Must be familiar with CREO and DSR6 (Model-based definition) design methodology.

• Familiarity with tooling/MGSE, welded steel structures, AWS D17.1 and other specifications a plus!

• This position is located onsite; some travel may be required.
• Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.

• Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

• Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
• Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
