Position Summary
The Avionics Technician provides support for rotary‑wing military aircraft by performing installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of avionics and electrical systems on UH-60, CH-47, and AH-64 aircraft. This role requires hands‑on experience working from technical manuals and wiring diagrams to ensure aircraft systems are mission‑ready and compliant with quality and safety standards.

Maintenance, modification, or flight line operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Install, route, secure, and terminate avionics wiring, harnesses, and components.
- Perform avionic system troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrective maintenance.
- Conduct continuity checks, operational tests, and system functional checks.
- Perform soldering, crimping, pinning, de‑pinning, and connector assembly to aerospace standards.
- Remove and reinstall avionics LRUs and associated aircraft panels as required.
- Support aircraft inspections, maintenance actions, and operational readiness.
- Document maintenance actions in accordance with technical orders and quality requirements.
- Maintain FOD control, tool accountability, and safety compliance at all times.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve avionic discrepancies.
- 4+ years hands‑on avionic experience on rotary‑wing or military aircraft.
- Experience working on UH-60, CH-47, AH-64, or similar helicopter platforms.
- Strong understanding of aircraft avionic systems and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with avionic test equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, system testers).
- Ability to work assigned shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
- Ability to meet program requirements including U.S. citizenship and valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Direct experience on UH-60, CH-47, or AH-64 aircraft.
- Flight line or deployment support experience.
- Military or DoD aviation maintenance background.
- Standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Exposure to aircraft noise, equipment, and operational environments.
