WhatYou Will Do
As a Production Test Engineer (PTE) on the 2nd Shift you’re part of a manufacturing team that supports the test process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities. You’ll validate and ensure compliance of the prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment, troubleshoot and problem‑solve around test failures, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity in test processes.
- Troubleshooting and providing accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
- Creating and maintaining spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
- Creating Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence.
- Leading projects to reduce test time and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure mode, and test yields.
- Developing test flows and contributing to test capacity analysis.
- Maintaining changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals and system software.
- Assisting in non‑routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
- Leading root cause and corrective action investigations and presenting findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
- Performing risk assessments and supporting the program’s risk register reviews.
- Leading projects with responsibility for execution.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing production environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).
- Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date.
- Experience with hands‑on hardware integration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and develop sustaining solutions to routine technical problems.
- Ability to lead and mentor newer PTEs.
- Experience with interpretation of technical documentation.
- Experience with project execution.
- Experience with data analysis.

Salary Range: $68,900 – $131,100 per year (USD).
