Job Description

At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL.
Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
- Develop test plans and requirements matrix.
- Design test fixtures and equipment, and define specifications and procedures for testing new products.
- Develop automated test software using LabVIEW/Test Stand.
- Assemble, bring‑up, and debug new electronic designs for test equipment.
- Document Test Procedures.
- Perform Verification and Validation activities, including Gage R&R reports.
- Transition test solutions from a development to a sustaining production environment.
- Communicate technically with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, IT, or Computer Science.
- 0-5 years of functional test development experience.
- Familiar with standard electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Ability to read an electrical schematic.
- Experience using LabVIEW/Test Stand, C++, or Python software development packages.
- Highly motivated, self‑driven, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, good communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
- Comfortable with at‑a‑desk design, hands‑on laboratory work, and interfacing with manufacturing.
- Demonstrated relationship‑building skills and interaction with technical professionals.
- Effective, concise and clear communication to management on status of projects.
- Collaborating in a team environment to develop new test solutions.
- Support a product’s Electro‑Mechanical test design activity from requirements definition through implementation, validation, and production release.
- Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Altium Designer, or other ECAD design software (a plus).
- Experience with Solid Works or other MCAD design software (a plus).
- RF experience is a definite plus.
- Experience with VoIP, RS‑232, RS‑422, MIL‑STD‑1553, IEEE‑1394, and/or Ethernet networking (a plus).
- Experience with LabVIEW/Test Stand a definite plus.
This is an ITAR facility and applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.
