Job Description
Join us as an Electrical Engineer where you will design test equipment to test circuit boards. The position is located near Lockheed Martin Space’s Huntsville, AL facility and requires a flexible 9×80 schedule. Space is a critical domain that connects technology, security, and humanity.
Key Responsibilities- Design automated test equipment (ATE) and electronic hardware, including signal conditioning equipment.
- Interface with COTS instrumentation for system production tests, system validation, and system‑level field tests.
- Develop Special Test Equipment that requires research, test equipment/system development, and a variety of electronic equipment and systems (Avionics, Control Systems, Telemetry, Electro‑Optical, Radiation Detection, Radio, and other communications).
- Work with a cross‑functional team to build and integrate circuitry components using analog and digital data acquisition and control systems, FPGA, real‑time systems, computers, and control and test equipment.
- Prior circuit design experience.
- 3 years of professional engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (ship required).
- Experience with designing automated test equipment (ATE) and electronic hardware, including signal conditioning equipment.
- Reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentations.
- Wire harness design and electronics assembly development, with ability to troubleshoot and isolate root causes.
- Hardware engineering best practices: requirements analysis, design, test, and integration.
- Cross‑functional collaboration and project coordination.
- Autonomous work style and drive to close items.
- Knowledge of CREO, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, and occasional travel.
