QTEC Aerospace is seeking MODEL BASED SYSTEMS ENGINEERS to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Defense programs. This role is for a Systems Engineer to support the Army program offices that protect and defend the United States of America and her allies.



Job Duties /Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Perform Systems Engineering functions such as requirements decomposition and interface definition
• Complete use case development and preparing systems engineering artifacts as a part of program Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement customer-requested capabilities
• Follow an Agile framework to manage the backlog and document progress
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Work with teams crossing multiple functions in order to drive data connectivity from architecture to requirements to test

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field with at least 2 years' related experience

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and related tools (e.g., Cameo, Magic Draw)
• Should possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines
• Skills in generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented

• The candidate should have an understanding of the Systems Engineering 'V' and be capable of performing engineering analysis, requirements allocation, requirements decomposition
• Experience in mission analysis with skill in the development of use cases, sequence diagrams, and creation of Interface Documents
• Experience with requirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower-level subsystems and components
• Experience using Atlassian Tools such as JIRA
• Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices
• Expert in all MS Office applications and familiarity with DOORS
• Familiar with Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
