The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer (Level
2) / Principal Systems Engineer (Level
3) to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability.
- Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
- Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large program design.
- Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
- Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
- Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
- Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration).

Standard work schedule is 9/80. Position can be hired at the Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer level depending on qualifications.
Basic Qualifications- Systems Engineer (Level
2):
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of experience; or 0 years with a master’s degree. - Must be a U.S. citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation within the last 6 years.
- Must be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable time.
- 1 year of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or a similar tool.
- 1 year of experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) or complex aerospace/defense systems.
- 1 year of experience with leadership responsibilities in team environments.
- 1 year of experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation.
- Principal Systems Engineer (Level
3):
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of experience; or 3 years with a master’s, 1 year with a PhD. - Must be a U.S. citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation within the last 6 years.
- Must be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable time.
- 2 years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or a similar tool.
- 2 years of experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) or complex aerospace/defense systems.
- 2 years of experience with leadership responsibilities in team environments.
- 2 years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering V‑Model.
- Experience in SysML or UPDM modeling languages.
- Proficiency with DoDAF, UAF, or other modeling frameworks.
- Experience with scripting and coding languages such as Python.
- Experience with Agile Development.
- Experience with ICBM weapon system sustainment engineering and integration.
