Upper School Math Teacher – Randolph School, Huntsville

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify and respond to each individual student’s learning needs and create enrichment opportunities; implement instructional strategies that contribute to meaningful learning experiences for all learners
  • Work with grade‑level teams to address the needs of the whole child
  • Integrate the teaching of effective organization and study skills
  • Use our Learning Management System to communicate and organize assignments
  • Demonstrate effective written and oral communication (parent conferences, written correspondence including narrative reports)
  • Effectively monitor and manage student learning using a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress
  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment and develop respectful relationships with students by using conflict resolution and problem‑solving techniques within the classroom
  • Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through active participation in professional growth activities
  • Maintain an effective, safe, and well‑organized classroom
  • Integrate technology appropriately in the classroom
  • Serve as an advisor to a small group of students
  • Share duties and responsibilities with other members of the faculty
Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching High School Math, including Geometry
  • B.S. in Mathematics required, M.A. in Mathematics preferred
  • Independent college preparatory school experience preferred
  • Student‑centered, collaborative, approachable, passionate about mathematics
