Oakwood Adventist Academy is a K-12 Christian, Seventh-day Adventist, school located in Huntsville, AL. Our school was established in 1896 and has a thriving student population of over 300 students. Oakwood Adventist Academy is connected to a large active church community that comprises nine constituent churches.

For the Fall of  school year, we are seeking a Vice-Principal who is student-centered in order to provide visionary leadership and operational support across the k-12 program. The candidate must possess the following qualities:

• Support and evaluate teachers through classroom observations, feedback, and coaching
• Have a vibrant relationship with Christ
• Have the ability to work closely with the Administrative Team in order to build capacity with teachers and staff
• Promote effective, research-based instructional practices and curriculum alignment across all grade levels
• Use data to inform decisions that improve student learning outcomes
• Collaborate with the Administration and staff to support the design and continued implementation of OAA's professional learning community (PLCs)
• Able to inspire and motivate children in their learning experience
• Able to exhibit a personal love for learning
• Strong organizational skills
• Can engage positively with a large church community
• Dedicated to fostering academic excellence, spiritual growth and a positive school culture

This individual will assist the Principal and Administrative Team in all aspects of school management, ensuring that every student is supported to achieve success academically.

Experience:

Minimum Master's Degree, with at least 3 years of current experience in an administrative role. Must hold a current North American Division (NAD) relevant certification or be working toward receiving the necessary credentials.

The candidate must have legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed.
