OPEN RANK – DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS

Requires MD degree or equivalent, board certified in Pediatrics, qualify for licensure in Alabama, medical staff privileges at Huntsville Hospital and credentialing as a physician provider. Rank and salary commensurate with experience.

The pediatrician will join the faculty of the Huntsville Regional Medical Campus. Clinical responsibilities include providing direct care in an outpatient setting to a diverse patient population, including individuals with chronic illness and medical complexity. Our team also cares for newborns in the well-baby nursery at Huntsville Hospital with shared call.

Academic responsibilities include teaching and supervising medical students and family practice residents in the clinical setting, as well as delivering lectures. Our faculty also have opportunities for scholarly work, quality improvement, medical education and advocacy.
