CCI Utility & Construction Services (CCI-UCS) is seeking a skilled Paint Coordinator to play a crucial role in preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying them to enhance the appearance of both interior and exterior structures.

This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities
  • Build paint job cost estimates/proposals using:
    • e-Gordian
    • Drawings
    • RFP Scope
    • Site-walks
  • Create a paint scope as additional attachment/document with paint estimate to notate any special circumstances, inclusions/exclusions, negotiations, etc.
  • Negotiate approved paint bids with the USG PM.
    • Identify potential issues with drawings/scope/logistics/etc. to be addressed in RFI or during negotiations.
  • Identify required man-hours and material per proposed jobs.
  • Forecast, stock (as required), and deliver materials, and necessary jobsite equipment (lifts, scaffolds, ladders, etc…) to job sites during mobilization and as required to sustain continuous operations.
  • Identify potential safety concerns and discuss with safety manager or project PM as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Paint Superintendent and Job Superintendents to prioritize and schedule paint jobs.
  • Conduct routine site visits of upcoming paint jobs to validate Job Superintendent paint scheduling requests.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and punch-list site-walks/finals and coordinate with the Job Superintendent, sub-contractors and Paint Superintendent to complete the job.
  • Track and record paint job and paint schedule progress and maintain an up-to-date CCI-PAINT Planning Log.
  • Submit billing for paint to CCI PM after all man hours/materials are billed, final inspections passed, and punch lists are complete.
  • Evaluate material and labor cost data to refine and improve job cost estimation.
  • Generate change orders for items added to the scope of work as needed throughout projects. Negotiate as needed (Add change orders to paint log for tracking).
  • Generate ROMs when requested.
  • Know PCA Industry Standards.
  • Fill in for superintendent when/as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of commercial or industrial painting experience, with demonstrated leadership or coordination responsibilities preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting methods, materials, and application techniques.
  • Proven ability to select, mix, and coordinate appropriate paint systems and finishes.
  • Working knowledge of equipment such as spray systems, sandblasters, striping machines, compressors, and other small power tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and safety documentation.
  • Proficient in inventory management and documentation practices.
Additional Requirements

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, the candidate must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
