Work with cross-functional team across Mercury Systems and with our suppliers across a broad range of services and goods to keep production on schedule and satisfy the needs of our customers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Purchasing of goods, materials, and services to meet company operational needs.
  • Considering: price, quality and delivery and ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Processing the request for quote process and MRP report, order placement, order maintenance, resolution of invoice issues, resolution of quality concerns, and order follow up.
  • Procurement activity may range in low dollar value to high value, complex requirements requiring negotiations.
  • Responsibility for proper execution of all Government paperwork for CPSR and FAR requirements.
  • Meet departmental key performance indicators in cost saving, supplier management, on time delivery and inventory management.
  • Close interaction with planning, engineering, production, accounts payable, quality management, business development, and leadership across the corporation.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, the ability to think strategically and critically analyze details.
  • Partnership with Subcontracts will be needed to support outside services, insuring that suppliers are compliant with all necessary deliverables and contractual requirements.
  • Supplier engagement early in the development phase and ensuring all cost targets are met.
  • Communications with programs and leadership are expected.
Required Qualifications
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in ERP/Oracle systems.
  • Experience MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with government compliance - FAR/DFAR, CPSR.
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve with minimum oversight.
  • Experience Planning, negotiation and agreements/contract management.
  • Experience multi-tasking and work in a flexible and changing environment with multiple competing deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical knowledge of Procurement/Sourcing.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player.
