. This role offers a competitive salary of $40,000 – $170,000 and is located in Huntsville, AL.
University Kia Huntsville is hiring experienced service technicians to join our dealership team. We seek reliable, motivated professionals with quality vehicle maintenance and repair experience, capable of delivering vehicles while providing exceptional customer service. Candidates should feel confident working independently or in a team environment.
Experience with Kia and/or Hyundai is preferred.
ASE certification is highly encouraged.

- Complete work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test‑drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive transmissions and related systems.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs and provide repair estimates.
- Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Willingness to learn through hands‑on training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- AWS Certification or graduate of an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair.
- At least two years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment: wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, and lift operation.
- Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
- Professional appearance and friendly customer service.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills, with composure under stress.
- Valid driver’s license.
