What do Termite Technicians do?Termite Technicians protect customers’ properties from wood‑destroying organisms. You are the first line of defense and provide inspections, prevention, and treatment services that give customers peace of mind.
Responsibilities- Identify termite problems and determine remedial steps.
- Perform termite treatment services safely according to company guidelines.
- Apply anti‑termite treatments to structures on schedule and with label instructions.
- Communicate critical conditions to customers and discuss procedures and structural modifications.
- Verify job specifications for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Interact with customers and explain services provided.
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations.
- Prepare the job site for treatment.
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
- Work 20 ft up on a ladder and in small confined spaces.
- General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is a plus.
- Ability to work on roofs and high areas.
- Regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl and move up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator and work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- At least 1 year of customer service; experience in termite control is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Flexible with working hours, Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Licenses/certificates required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Basic math skills and ability to follow mixing instructions on product labels.
