Ensure insurance pre-certification submissions for bariatric surgery and admissions are completed with all pertinent records and documentation;
Proactively initiate appeals or peer-to-peer reviews when needed;
Strive for 100% insurance coverage on all admissions with primary and secondary insurance when applicable and prepare accounts for billing by discharge;
Collect and correlate bariatric program statistics and data on patient outcomes to promote program standards;
Communicate effectively with the Bariatric Team, Program Manager, Surgeons, and other providers to coordinate coverage, pre-authorizations, and scheduling
