Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Float Pool position with night shifts and Cerner charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Position is within the Medical Surgical Float Pool of a short-term acute care, major teaching hospital

• Level II Trauma Center with 330 staffed beds

• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00

• Expected to float as needed within scope to various med/surg units

• Full-time weekend requirement includes working 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays within each 8-week schedule

• Cerner used for charting and documentation

• Free parking available in both lot and garage

• First-time travelers are accepted if they have experience with Cerner

• Must wear black scrubs; surgical scrubs are provided when reporting to surgery

• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing

• Completion of orientation and annual modules is required and will vary by specialty

• Two references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration

• Minimum 1 year of med/surg RN experience required, 2 years preferred

• Experience with Cerner charting system required

• Ortho experience preferred

• Local candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility

• Pending licenses are not accepted
