Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant to work with our team in the Mother Baby Unit
.
The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities. Applicants provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision.
Primarily this includes but is not limited to performing duties such as:
- cleaning
- taking vital signs
- obtaining lab specimens
- charting
- escort patients
- assisting with activities of daily living
- managing clerical duties
- ordering and receiving supplies
Candidates interviewed for this role will be asked to present proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview. Candidates unwilling or unable to provide said documentation will not be considered.
To be considered, candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam, and proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification.
