Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to work in the Emergency Department. The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities. Applicants provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision. Duties include cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties, and ordering and receiving supplies.
To be considered, candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam.
