Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Care Assistant to work with our team in the 2 South Med Surg Department. The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities. Applicants provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision.

• Cleaning
• Taking vital signs
• Obtaining lab specimens
• Charting
• Escorting patients
• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Managing clerical duties
• Ordering and receiving supplies

Candidates interviewed for this role will be asked to present proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview. Candidates unwilling or unable to provide said documentation will not be considered.

• Documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam.
• Proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification.
