The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities. Applicants provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties, and ordering and receiving supplies.

To be considered, candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam, and proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification. Candidates interviewed for this role will be asked to present proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview. Applicants who cannot provide said documentation will not be considered.

• Assist nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care in the ICU setting.
• Perform duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, and charting.
• Escort patients and assist with activities of daily living.
• Handle clerical duties and manage ordering/receiving supplies.

• Proof of 80% or higher Medical Terminology exam score.
• Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification (or equivalent).
