Role Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing OEM overhauls, legacy engine upgrades, and new equipment supply projects for natural gas operators in the U.S. and global markets.
This role requires strong project management expertise, technical knowledge of legacy engines and compressor systems, and the ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration to deliver projects safely, on time, on budget, and within scope.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle execution of capital projects in accordance with company project management processes and customer contract requirements
- Serve as primary customer interface, managing communication, scope changes, and execution updates
- Develop and implement comprehensive Project Execution Plans
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, Field, Shop, and Quality teams
- Develop engineering and procurement strategies for legacy engine and compressor station projects
- Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms
- Manage project budgets, manpower, forecasting, and margin performance
- Partner with Finance to support revenue recognition and cash collection
- Track, evaluate, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle
- Lead cost estimating inputs, including capital costs, contingency, risk, and escalation analysis
- Develop field execution plans and support commissioning and start‑up activities
- Ensure timely delivery of new or repaired equipment meeting contractual requirements
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions in partnership with Quality
- Prepare formal reports and presentations for customers and leadership
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes
- Maintain strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- Engineering, Finance, or Business degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in the pipeline and/or natural gas compression industry
- Strong knowledge of legacy natural gas engines and compressor systems
- Experience managing capital projects, budgets, schedules, and contract compliance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
