Overview
MMR Group is seeking a Site HSE Technician with both industrial and heavy commercial electrical construction experience to work at our site in Huntington, WV. MMR Constructors, Inc., a subsidiary of MMR Group, Inc., located in Huntington, WV. Pay: $36/hr with $125/day per diem.
Schedule:
six 10’s. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Report to the Project Safety Coordinator and/or Branch Office Safety Coordinator.
- Under direction of the Project Safety Coordinator, conduct New Hire Orientation and Site-Specific Orientation (MMR Orientation, Site Safety Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Fall Protection, HAZCOM, and PPE).
- Accompany injured/ill employees to Medical Facilities and assist with case management as directed.
- Perform field inspections and audits (JSEA’s, equipment inspections, ground assurance, safety equipment, fire extinguishers, ladders, field observations).
- Participate in MMR’s Behavioral Based Safety Program with observations and feedback.
- Enter BBS observation details into the BBS Observation Database.
- Assist in entering and uploading site training in the MMR electronic database (M-Files) for record retention.
- Provide on-site coaching and follow-ups to ensure training comprehension.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and enforce MMR Life Critical Policies.
- Correct unsafe acts or conditions.
- Participate in daily JSEA and Daily Toolbox meetings.
- Work with Supervisors to ensure Safe Work Practices are followed.
- Stay current on MMR HS&E policies/procedures and applicable regulatory requirements (OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA).
- Assist in accident investigations with the Project Safety Coordinator and/or Site Manager; implement corrective actions as directed.
- Inspect tools and safety equipment including arc flash and shock protection before use.
- Perform monthly inspections of Site Office, Tool and Calibration Trailers, and safety gear.
- Provide other HS&E related support as requested by the Project Safety Coordinator and Site Management.
Qualifications/
Skills:
- Experience in industrial and heavy construction
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility and creativity
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or Associate’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health (preferred but not required). Minimum five years related experience. OSHA 500 Train-The-Trainer certification or equivalent.
Certifications and/or Licenses:Must possess valid forms of identification (e.g., Driver’s License or State ) and a Social Security Card. State/local licenses/certifications may be required. Certifications such as CSP, ASP, OHST, CSST are a plus.
