Job Description The position supports the Registrar’s Office by performing specialized student record, graduation, and academic data management duties that contribute to the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of university records. The role assists in coordinating processes related to degree completion, transfer credit, academic updates, and enrollment activity while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and established standards. Work involves frequent use of Banner and Degree Works, detailed record review, and collaboration with students, faculty, and campus partners to support efficient and accurate registrar operations.
- Manage the registrar inbox, serving as the primary contact for handling complex inquiries and resolving issues from students, faculty, and staff. Facilitate course registration, withdrawals, and schedule adjustments. Collaborate with Admissions, Student Financial Assistance, Office of the Bursar, College Dean’s Offices, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Buck Harless Student Athlete Program, to ensure efficient and student-centered solutions.
- Manage the Individual Course Withdrawal Dynamic Forms processing
- Reviews, audits, and verifies academic records for prospective graduates using Degree Works, transcripts, and Banner to ensure accuracy and compliance with university requirements.
- Processes graduation holds, degree related record updates, and supports degree completion workflows.
- Manages student record updates including legal name changes, biographical corrections, Social Security updates, and maintenance of legacy pre Banner files.
- Enters and updates transfer credit, institutional credit, academic forgiveness adjustments, and program specific credit in Banner using established codes and procedures.
- Reviews and processes transient and study abroad applications by verifying academic standing, signatures, financial clearances, and eligibility criteria.
- Updates student registration records including post baccalaureate program codes, H Option designations, distance learner status, and approved course level changes.
- Provides specialized knowledge of Banner student systems, Degree Works functions, and registrar processes to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinates with academic units to process Military Science credit, ACT English credit, and graduate level adjustments for undergraduate use.
- Maintains data accuracy by recalculating GPAs, posting update messages, and ensuring compliance with institutional and FERPA standards.
- Supports enrollment verification processing, National Student Clearinghouse reporting, grade change entry, and other registrar operations.
