Assistant Director of Alumni Relations
Marshall University School of Pharmacy invites applications for the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations. The role reports to the Vice President of Alumni Relations and works closely with the Director of Alumni Engagement to advance alumni connections and engagement.

Position DetailsThe Assistant Director is an E‑Class benefits eligible position within the Marshall University Foundation, Inc. The role focuses on stewarding alumni relationships, planning events, coordinating volunteer programs, and supporting the Alumni Association Board.
Responsibilities MUAA Board Support & Volunteer Coordination (20%)- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Alumni Association Board of Directors and committees.
- Assist with agendas, minutes, and documentation for board and committee meetings.
- Coordinate logistics for board retreats, workshops, and travel.
- Oversee committee projects, nominations, and elections.
- Collaborate with the alumni relations team to support volunteer programs, including Alumni Mentors, Student Alumni Council, and regional chapter leaders.
- Foster and increase volunteer participation in Foundation events.
- Identify and develop new and emerging Alumni Association chapters.
- Conduct prospective calls and provide support for emerging chapters.
- Coordinate and nurture the growth of the Student Alumni Council.
- Create strategies and implement programs to engage young alumni.
- Facilitate bank account setup for Alumni chapters.
- Collaborate with the Director of Alumni Engagement to plan and implement Alumni Association events, including the annual Alumni Awards, Homecoming festivities, regional chapter gatherings, and other assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with Big Green to support athletic‑related alumni events such as tailgates, watch parties, and game‑day hospitality experiences.
- Manage event budgets and process transactions; compile financial reports.
- Produce event‑related materials, maintain the master alumni event calendar, and track engagement metrics.
- Manage sensitive alumni and donor data with discretion and professionalism.
- Generate reports on alumni engagement, event participation, and volunteer activity.
- Interact daily with high‑level stakeholders, including board members, university leadership, and community partners.
- Celebrate alumni milestones and achievements with warmth and precision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work week is 37.5 hours.
- Almost two weeks off for Winter Break.
- 13 paid holidays.
- Annual and sick leave up to 24 days and 18 days respectively.

Range: $40,000 - $45,000; salary commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.
Full‑time, off‑campus location.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Personal vehicle and ability to travel.
- Experience leading programs and increasing engagement in higher education, fundraising, nonprofits, or related fields.
- Familiarity with alumni relations, donor stewardship, or volunteer coordination.
- Detail‑oriented with high accuracy.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
