Position Information
Position Title: Assistant Professor
- Neurologist with Completion of Neuromuscular Fellowship
Department: SOM - Neurology - MU9490
Job Description: Marshall University Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Neurologist with a successfully completed Neuromuscular Fellowship. Must have or be eligible to obtain a license to practice medicine in the State of West Virginia.
Duties: Position involves clinic, hospital and teaching components. Provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for general Neurology patients and patients with neuromuscular diseases, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Provide general Neurology call coverage with other neurologists in a shared system. Active in physician and hospital outreach activities related to neurology. Participate in medical student and resident education, as well as research.
All other appropriate duties as assigned by the chair of the Department of Neurology.
Location: MUSOM - Marshall University School of Medicine
Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:
- A medical degree, completion of residency training in Neurology and a neuromuscular fellowship.
- The ideal candidate will have an interest in academic medicine with an emphasis on clinic-based practice.
- Must have a strong desire to teach and mentor medical students.
