Qualifications

A.A. degree or related experience required with High School Diploma or GED. Must have excellent computer skills, be friendly, adaptable and task oriented. Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

Position Details (This is a sampling of duties/responsibilities of this position)

Responsible for Front Desk, greeting, directing visitors and callers to proper department or employee in a professional manner; should have general computer experience in Word, Excel and clerical duties. Operate multi-line phone system, fax machine etc.

Greets visitors and callers respectfully and courteously and providing clear and accurate information. Maintain general knowledge of the agency and various programs in order to assist callers and walk-ins as best possible. Takes clear and accurate messages for all forwarded telephone messages or provides caller with opportunity to leave voice mail messages. Maintain all aspects of reception area. Sort, log and distribute incoming mail as directed.

Type correspondence or enter spreadsheet or other data as required. Data entry for various programs as directed. Being present at front desk on time and for days/hours scheduled. Presents a neat, professional appearance and manner which will reflect well on Southwestern Community Action Council, Inc. Performs all other duties as related to position and assigned by supervisor.

Carries out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision. Makes decisions and establishes work priorities based on needs of executive offices within the scope of SCAC policy and procedures.
