Client Relationship Representative (Universal Banker)

First Merchants Corporation is looking for a Client Relationship Representative (Universal Banker) to join our team. This full‑time role focuses on providing high‑quality customer service by accurately and efficiently completing bank transactions and suggesting products and services that meet the current and future financial needs of our customers. We support you so you can exceed personal sales and service goals while delivering a meaningful customer experience.

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer requests for banking transactions and answering inquiries with solutions that meet the current needs.
• Build customer loyalty and serve as a customer advocate.
• Contribute to overall banking center operations by balancing cash and daily transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting, following information security policy, and assisting with opening and closing of the banking center.
• Actively participate in a high‑performing sales environment by selling bank products, making customer referrals, and participating in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
• Lead and coach staff by training, guiding operational and sales skills, completing required training, and leading sales and service activities at the banking center.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience selling products or services.
• Minimum of 1 year of sales, banking and/or related experience.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 3 months of hire date.
• Notary Public designation.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of products and services offered by the bank (all lines of business).

• Prior banking experience.
• Ability to sell and cross‑sell bank products and services.
