Job Description

Position Title: Food Service Lead Cashier

Terms of Employment: 9 month position

Evaluated By: Building Food Service Manager

Job Summary

To secure funds for daily meal transactions; balance receipts as well as adhering to accounting practices for monies handled, while creating a pleasant experience for customers

Employment Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possess excellent customer service skills

Essential Job Duties

• Able to correctly handle cash
• Monitors meals to meet USDA regulation for meals
• Assures a clean and stocked area
• Maintains proper signage
• Responsible for setup/tear down of the area
• Works together with all staff on leftovers
• Completes assigned Safe Schools training, as required
• Cleans tables between meals
• Properly completes daily bookwork
• Communicates low and negative balances with families in a positive and respectful manner
• Responsible for yearly startup/ shut down with student #'s, barcodes, etc.
• Maintains an accurate personal time sheet
