PPG WIC Medical Assistant

Overview

This position is located in Huntington, IN with Parkview Physicians Group - Indiana. It is full time and benefit eligible. It includes a sign-on bonus and may require a flexible schedule.

Summary:

Responsible for assisting with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned walk-in clinic(s). Works in collaboration with the clinical team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.

Sign-on bonus: $2,000 - 4,000

Responsible for assisting with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned walk-in clinic(s). Works in collaboration with clinical team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.

• Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED.
• Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Health career Association (NHA) or
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or
• Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA).

CPR required.

Medical assistant or physician office experience preferred.

• Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, and clinical quality initiatives preferred.
• Familiar with computers; electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
