Outpatient PTA

This position involves providing professional patient care and practicing physical therapy by implementing and documenting treatments following evaluations by physical therapists. The PTA treats patients according to physician orders and established care plans, using various therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to maximize functional potential. Responsibilities include implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with physical therapists, instructing patients and caregivers, and completing documentation and billing in a timely manner.

All care must adhere to hospital philosophies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines.

• Education:
  
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Licensure:
  Must hold or be eligible for a PTA license in the state of employment within 90 days.
• Certification: CPR certification required within 90 days of employment; ongoing certification maintenance required.
• Experience:
  
  Clinical experience from educational training; additional work experience preferred.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds, and push up to 300 pounds.
• Skills:
  
  Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Additional:
  Willingness to work at various locations as assigned.
