Registered Nurse Supervisor Job Description

Full‑time 3‑11 / Part‑time 7‑3 weekends and 12‑hour shifts available. Apex Rehabilitation & Care Center, a 5‑Star facility, is looking for a passionate and hard‑working Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our team! We welcome new grads. This is a full‑time, part‑time role that offers 12‑hour shifts for supervision.

• Providing a direct line of communication between patients, nursing staff and physicians.
• Communicating with patients and their family members as needed, and offering emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families in distress.
• You will also be responsible for administering treatments, performing special tests, documenting treatment, and responding to patient care emergencies.
• Perform required skills (assessment, intervention) according to guidelines, forms, policies and procedures.
• Develop care plan that demonstrates knowledge of criteria to ascertain residents specific needs based on health care problem(s).
• Carry out care plan that demonstrates familiarity with criteria to establish resident priorities specific to anticipated outcomes.
• Implement physician’s orders; administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum Associate’s Degree.
• BSN preferred.
• Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be creative and have good observations and analytical skills.
