Registered Nurse Supervisor Job Description
Full-time 3‑11 / Part‑time 7‑3 weekends and 12‑hour shifts available.
Apex Rehabilitation & Care Center, a 5‑Star facility, is looking for a passionate and hard‑working Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our team! We welcome new grads! This is a full‑time, part‑time offer with 12‑hour shifts for supervision.
Responsibilities for a Registered Nurse (RN)As an RN Supervisor you will guide and direct the activities of certified nursing assistants, RN's, and LPN's, review and modify care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, attend care planning and discharge planning reviews, and provide patient/family education.
- Providing a direct line of communication between patients, nursing staff and physicians.
- Communicating with patients and their family members as needed, and offering emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families in distress.
- You will also be responsible for administering treatments, performing special tests, documenting treatment, and responding to patient care emergencies.
- Perform required skills (assessment, intervention) according to guidelines, forms, policies and procedures.
- Develop care plan that demonstrates knowledge of criteria to ascertain resident specific needs based on health care problem(s).
- Carry out care plan that demonstrates familiarity with criteria to establish resident priorities specific to anticipated outcomes.
- Implement physicians’ orders; administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum Associate’s Degree.
- BSN preferred.
- Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be creative and have good observations and analytical skills.
