Paraprofessional - Elementary Reading Department

Overview

Paumanok is seeking a candidate to fill the clerical role of reading paraprofessional. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the ELA Curriculum Liaison with organizing student literacy data and sharing with building staff and administrators
• Using Google Docs and spreadsheets to support the reading specialists
• Assisting the reading specialists on a daily basis as needed with AIS reading groups
• Distributing reading materials and other related items from the District reading department and Central Office
• Assisting in end-of-year collection and filing of reading materials from classroom teachers
• Cleaning and maintaining an organized book room (knowledge of book levels a plus)
• Copying reading materials for the reading specialists
• Supporting with other related tasks as needed from building administrators.

Qualified applicants should have strong computer skills and be able to manage multiple tasks. The hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Starting salary: $19.08/hr
