Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, helping fans find their favorite merchandise. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Assist in managing the sales floor and support leadership when needed.
• Open and close the store as required, ensuring security and operational procedures are followed.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and utilize your knowledge of fandom to promote sales, including options like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to management.
• Understand store sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving them.
• Assist with store layout updates, including planogram changes and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Help maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
• Support the development of a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a love for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, with a drive to develop your team.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay rate: $17 - $19.55 per hour. Final salary depends on education, location, experience, and other factors.
